Welcome to the Zen Temple located in a nature reserve not far from Vienna. We invite you to come for a stay to nourish your body, soothe your mind, and uplift your spirit. We are an education ashram with a mission to spread peace, health, and joy through meditation and inner progress. People come here from all over the world to discover the benefits of a spiritual lifestyle and enjoy an experience of integrated living.
We live the "positive sense" and want to pass it on to you.
Regardless of religion, culture and personal abilities, Zen leads people back to their original, normal state. What can not be grasped by the mind, nor can it be mediated by words, is a matter of practice. In the exercise of Zazen (za = sitting, zen = watchful, aimless concentration), the unity of body and mind becomes clear. Automatically, unconsciously and naturally, this experience affects the whole human being.
Neither philosophy nor religion nor therapy, Zen opens up access to religion and philosophy. In the attentive perception of body and spirit, the root of the values that make a life as a human being are found.
Zen Temple offers you a perfect place for a proper retreat. The unique Zen Temple will inspire you with its high satva energy. A place made for your sadhana. A place where everyday business is left for a few days (weekend-retreat) up to weeks.
The Zen Temple is about forty minutes by car via A1 or A21 motorway, from the center of Vienna. From the highway exit Hochstrass drive three kilometers along a forest road through a nature reserve. We will pick you up at the roundabout and take you to the temple. If necessary, a pick-up from Vienna is also possible. For this, please provide a notification at least seven days before arrival with number of persons.
